  We stopped by after walking around and exploring. There was live music and it looked very lively. We ordered 4 mojitos that came bubbling because of dry ice and it really was the best mojito I've ever had. We also ordered the paella for 2 people, a Cuban tamale, and a salad and it was sooo much food. Our waitress was an absolute pleasure to talk to and she did amazingly. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

  Damn, I hate to do this cuz I thought I'd be giving this place 5 stars upon walking in but slowly but surely it shows why they their average star rating is only 2.5 stars.  I noticed that as well before going in but still thought I give the place a try.  
  Here it goes, I walk in about 5pm, not too many people there which is fine but the place looks like you are in Cuba for sure, except for the server which none where Cuban, so that kinda killed the vibe.  The buffet, that's all you need here by the way.  So I walk in and immediately the server tells me that I should go for the buffet because the kitchen is out due to a gas line repair and can't give me a menu.  She says the buffet is $16. I say, nah, I'll just do a Cuban sandwich and a lemonade.  The sandwich was pretty good, 12". Meanwhile, a family comes in right before I leave and another server gives them menus.  So of course I was like "what the hell happened to the kitchen being out??", is it fixed already? The server never came once to check on me so after about 10 min of trying to get her attention, I had to get up and go get her.  I ask the server, as I ask for my check, what really happened and she did say the kitchen is out and then I see the family getting up and leaving after their server had gone back to the table to get their order...really bad communication.  So at least I didn't feel like I was duped.  I get the bill and the damn sandwich was $16!!!!!!!!...no wonder they send you to the buffet.  Cuban sandwiches are great but not worth nowhere near $16.  I should've asked or check the price.  The girl then says she couldn't ring me up and I had to wait for another server to come run my card.  I was in a hurry and noticed after I had paid that the sandwich was $9 NOT $16 on a menu board!!!!!!
  So, the other reviews are right.  Really bad service, the food is ok but way over priced.  It's right there on 8th St and they have a cool mural outside.  They also have like a take-out outside cafe which could be a bonus.  Another red flag here is that you can tell the owner can give 2 shits about marketing because no one has claimed this place on Yelp.  There are pics of famous artists there like Pitbull and Marc Anthony so I kinda see why he could care less.  Good luck if you go.

  So upon walking in, the waitresses all looked and my friend and I, we weren't sure why so we asked if they were opened. They said yes so we asked if they had breakfast they again said yet so we sat and were never given a menu. The waitress comes over and says they can make eggs and bacon with toast and coffee...it was a little weird but I said ok because I was hungry. Shortly after ordering, more people walk in and are given a menu. Not sure why I wasn't given a menu but whatever. The eggs were good but the bacon had so much fat I basically picked out the eggs and ate the eggs and toast only. The coffee was good though and my bill was about $8 or $9 before tip that was added. Altogether it was about $10 with tip. So I guess it wasn't took bad for eggs bacon and coffee. Still not sure why the waitress were stand offish when first walking in.

  While in Miami I had to try a Cuban sandwich in Calle 8. So we decided to stop here. We ordered a Cuban sandwich and to my surprise it tasted like a bmt sandwich from subway. I don't like to compare but just trying to give others an idea of what to expect as I didn't know. It was a tasty sandwich came out rather quickly. We also ordered mojitos, those took a really long time to come, I honestly think the waitress forgot about our order. Once we got them they were excellent mojitos, best I've had in a long time. Our bill was a lot more than expected honestly, but it's fine. We had to try this place out not sure if we will ever go back. The live music was great though, it really kept the place lively and entertained.

  My friend and I went to the window to order snacks and drinks. Service was extremely rude. They make their money off of tourists and apparently they know they'll never see most people again... and thus, they just don't seem to care. Don't waste your time and money. There are so many cute bakeries and bars around.
